Greetings Wilbur Cross Families,
We hope all are having a restful weekend and Shanah Tova to all who celebrate the Jewish New Year. Our third week of school starts tomorrow and we’ve got a full week ahead of us to continue to settle in what is shaping up to be a spectacular 2026-27 school year.
We have our first Parent Teacher Students Association, or PTSA meeting, this Tuesday in the school atrium at 6:00. All are welcome to come out and connect with this amazing organization that supports so many important initiatives in this school - you do not have to worry about making every meeting, but this Tuesday is a great opportunity to find out how you can support our school community through a variety of activities.
Hispanic Heritage Month also begins this week! We join our entire Wilbur Cross High School community in recognizing and honoring the rich histories, vibrant cultures, and invaluable contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to our school, community, and nation throughout this month and all year long.
Many students have submitted schedule change requests via the add/drop form available on the school website. Counselors are processing those requests as efficiently and fairly as possible and will continue to do so for the remainder of the add/drop period, which will remain open until this Wednesday September 16th. Students should keep an eye on their school email for counselor responses to requests.
Cross remains committed to the district cell phone policy. Personal devices—phones, AirPods, and wearable tech—must be stored in Yondr pouches all day. Please ensure your student brings their pouch daily or purchases a replacement at school if lost.
If you need assistance or have questions - check the school website or call the main office at 475-220-7400.
Sincerely,
Matt Brown
Principal
